The Greater Richmond School of Music (GRSM) will provide music instruction through private, semi-private and group lessons, as well as through the GRSM Band Program, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School for the 2022-2023 school year. Instruction is currently available for piano, guitar, ukulele, electric bass, brass, woodwinds and band percussion as listed below. Recitals (and for Band students, Concerts) are included in tuition and will be held at the end of each semester for all registered students who are interested.
Registration is available ONLINE or using Fillable Registration Forms. The latter should be scanned and emailed to info@grsm.net, faxed to 866-357-0239 or mailed to GRSM, 9109 Dickey Drive, Mechanicsville VA 23116. Please do not leave forms or payment at OLL. Tuition is payable in full up front, half at the beginning of each semester, or in equal monthly payments during the session. There is a one-time Family Registration Fee of $25. There will be NO CLASSES on days that OLL is closed.
CLASSES will be held 3.5 hours earlier than regularly scheduled on EARLY DISMISSAL DAYS when After School Care is open.
PRIVATE/SEMI-PRIVATE LESSON registration is OPEN YEAR ROUND and TUITION is pro-rated.
Lesson schedule will be emailed the week before each student’s first lesson.

Private Lessons
Private lessons provide focused, one-on-one instruction with a master teacher.Students will spend the lesson time being shown all that is necessary for them to practice during the week in preparation for their next lesson, so that they can consistently progress.
Semi-Private Lessons
Semi-Private lessons allow for two students in the same lesson with a master teacher. Students should be within 2 yrs of age of each other, studying the same instrument, at the same level. As with private lessons, practice is the key to success.
Private and Semi-Private lessons are scheduled weekly during the term and are offered in 30, 45, or 60 minute intervals. Other than keyboards, which will be available for on-site use, each student must bring their own instrument to the lesson each week. Limited rentals from GRSM are available for keyboards, ukuleles and guitars at a rate of $20/month.
Recitals are included in tuition and will be held at the end of each semester for all registered students who are interested.
Private/Semi-Private instruction is offered at OLL as listed below. The starting age varies depending on the instructor and the instrument. We have lessons available from ages 5 yrs and up.

Group Ukulele Lessons
(Gr 2-5)
Learn to play classic songs on the ukulele in just a few lessons!! Play and sing along with your new uke buddies in this fun and energetic class! Learn the basic concepts of uke history, chords, rhythm, time, improvisation and perhaps, most importantly, reap the benefits of being successful at a new instrument!! Uke ‘n’ Roll® provides an alternative teaching method to refresh the music program in school systems and inspire the community using the world’s easiest, most engaging and addictive instrument — the ukulele. Utilizing a broad range of musical genres the lessons and song arrangements inspire students to jam on four simple strings with just a few minutes of instruction.
Day of Week: Tuesdays 3:00-4:00pm (9/6/22 – 1/24/23 … 18 lessons)

Tuition: $418 ($83.60/month Sep-Jan)
Materials needed: Method Book, Ukulele (a limited number of ukuleles are available at $20/month for take-home rental if needed)
